Ichnology (noun, “ICK-nawl-uh-jee”)

While Archeology is based on direct evidence, Ichnology is about secondary clues - it studies tracks, burrows and materials left behind by living things.
These left-behind clues are called traces.

SOON: THE ICHNOLOGY TOUR mini-DOCO

You guessed right - we created a mini-documentary about the tour, which will be published later this year. In the meantime, here is an exclusive short glimpse.

Filmed, edited & Directed by Ben Palhov.

Co-direction and interviews by Maayan Loven.

“ When you search for yourself, even for your own soul - even before exploring anything outside of you - you only work with Ichnological archeology.
You only work with secondary clues.

You never see yourself - you see only traces of yourself - your thoughts, your feelings, your body… All of these are not yourself, as they change all the time.

Feelings are not yourself. Today you are sad, tomorrow you’ll be happy.
So are you happy? No - you are feeling happy.
Are you your thoughts? No. Thoughts go back and forth…
Are you your body? No, you can cut off your arm and you’ll still be yourself.

None of these things are you. All that you think is you, all this self-dissection, the self-description you have with yourself, is only made through secondary evidence,
even to yourself.

You find little dots and say ‘This is me, this is me, this is me…’ and by attaching them you create a sculpture - a sense of self.
And even when you think this was how this ‘I’ creature was, or is or will be -
you don’t really know. ”

After More than 70 concerts in over 20 countries,
The ichnology solo tour has come to an end.

even 18 years into my career, I can’t tell you how much I thank you for participating in this journey with me.
As I am working on a new album, it will take some time until we can meet again.

Meanwhile, I invite you, those who shared these moments with me and those who just joined the ride, to dive into an in-depth view of the tour, watch some of the memories from this magical time - on and off stage- and footage you can’t see anywhere else.

The Ichnology Tour may have been a solo performance, but it wasn’t the same without my talented, hardworking team that made it all possible.
